So, what have we learned from all this? Well, of the 16 people who sent in their profiles...
31% of us like watching movies (or TB) on Sundays; another 31% are hanging out, slacking off, or doing nothing; and another 19% are sleeping
Thanks for playing!

Wow, I can't believe I got a perfect score on Who am I! I was sure Grandma would have been the perfect score again...
Emily and Erika are finished with another year of school. Today is graduation at preschool. Erika is coming with me to help out this morning. Going to Wausa tomorrow to "do the graves."

Last call! The "Who Am I" game is wheezing to a stop, and the winner is destined to be either Grandma, Emily, Erika, Karen, Lindsey, or Marsha -- unless one of you uncommitted types acts fast! Sure, you're busy. But what's more important: Some dumb 8-5 job, or this game? I think you know the answer.
Gary
5/26/04
The "Who Am I" activity has quieted way down, so I think the time to post the results is drawing nigh. I understand Donna is still working on hers -- using sophisticated computer analysis and a team of psychics -- so we've got at least one more player out there. Anyone else who wants in gotta get in by Thursday night, so I can post the results on Friday. Every one who played is in for a surprise or two -- except for the one of you who got them all right!

Hey everybody! Today and tomorrow are finals at school and since I only have to take them for Algebra, English, and History I only have to be at school from 11:30 to 1:00 today and 8:00 to 9:30 and 11:30 to 1:00 on Thursday.
Then starting on Tuesday I have dance squad and cheerleading all June, and then I have Drivers Ed. all July.

Let's see summer plans.... Well the 2nd of June Brent has his surgery -- so he'll be in the hospital for about 3-4 days, then home for about 2 weeks. Emily starts dance practice June 1st, practice everyday for three hours. Once a week she will have cheerleader practice. There are also several fundraiser projects for her (garage sale, car washes etc.). Erika will be taking some private flute lessons (also starting June 1st). She is also hoping to sign up for some volunteering at the musuem.

Does this LOTR DVD have all the extra goodies? I thought those DVD's came out later??? Like in November or something, then again I vaguely remember you talking about this coming out earlier. See I try to block out your LOTR obsession, but it still filters through.
This is the "theatrical release," meaning the exact movie that played in the theaters a few months ago, with no extra scenes, no voice-over commentaries. It does come, though, as I mentioned, with a whole extra DVD with background stuff. The "extended version" will come out sometime in November, and that's the one with all the extra footage (more than an hour, I understand) and the commentaries. It too will come with a DVD (or two) of extra programs -- all different than the extras released with the theatrical version, so there's no duplication. --Gary

If you have successfully blocked out my constant references to "Lord of the Rings," you may not know that the final part of the movie trilogy ("Return of the King") went on sale today. And very reasonably priced it is, too: $14.99 at Wal-Mart and Circuit City, $15.99 at Best Buy. And some places are throwing in little trinkets and gimmies: microwave popcorn at Circuit City, a LOTR magazine at Best Buy, etc. It comes on two DVDs, with the movie on one and several hours of behind-the-scenes features on the other. And also at Best Buy, they've got the "Return of the King" PC game priced at $14.99 this week, an excellent game according to this reviewer. FYI!

Dang! I just now got back into my office (noonish), as about an hour ago a tornado warning sent us all to the shelter -- in this building, an interior hallway. I ducked outside and saw nothing scary, other than the fact that is was very very still.... But it seems to have blown over. ...And now I just heard it was a false alarm: the warning was activated in this building in error. Sheesh! I guess people are skittish after Saturday night.
After the storm a lot of people in Lincoln and Omaha were finding debris in their lawns. A professor I was talking with in the hallway just now found a three-foot chuck of metal in his yard, which he said "looked just like the twisted metal [grain elevator] you see in the Hallam pictures." The secretary in my office found a whole bunch of twist-ties in her lawn, stuck into the dirt like lawn-darts. Weird! And I heard that people in Omaha were finding cancelled checks and paperwork from the Hallam grain elevator office.
Switching gears: So far we have "Who Am I" ballots in from Grandma, Emily, Erika, Karen, Lindsey, and Marsha. And so far we have one perfect score! If your name wasn't listed in the previous sentence, do yer duty and play "Who Am I"!

Norris is Shelby's school, she rides one of those buses. School got out last Friday luckily. I told Ryan when I saw the bus picture that it looked like someone's toys strewn in the yard.

Great find on the storm photos, Amanda. I was checking around for photos too, but didn't find these; must've gotten there before they went up. Anyway, they're all good pics, but don't miss the pictures of the coal train, the school buses, and the baseball diamond. Wow!

Gary what was that website of the guy at the U that does weather photos? I don't know if he would have anything up yet, but I can't find that site either way.

Wild weather -- did Hallam really get destroyed? It has been cool and rainy here this weekend, but nothing so fierce. Samantha had a graduation from the Health Careers Program on Wed. About 40 students graduated, the founder of the program awarded a scholarship to one student and selected Sam as the recipient!
Way to go, Sam! --Gary

Well, yes and no. Lincoln was under an actual tornado warning a couple of times Saturday night, but no tornadoes in the city or outskirts; but between the hours of 7 and 11 pm they were touching down all over the place -- south, west, and east of us. It started off with just some distant flashes of lightning, then a rainstorm which got heavier and heavier, to the point of being scary. We got like 1.5 inches in 15 or 20 minutes. At that point, around 9, we decided to watch the local channels for the weather updates and we were glued to them for the next two hours. There was this long band of severe weather stretching from Kansas, through Lancaster County just below Lincoln, and on into Iowa which kept spinning off tornadoes. At one time there were six tornadoes on the ground within, say, fifty miles of us, all of them moving at different speeds and in different directions. There was some flooding in Lincoln, but no worse damage. Many small town and farms in the area, however, did suffer damage -- especially the city of Hallam (pop. 300, and home to a nuclear power plant) which was reported to be completely destroyed. Wild night!!

Our camping is over! I couldn't be more glad. 13 girls came. It was a long night. We ate, took a "nature hike," listened to stories and as we were going back to the barn/shop where our tents were everyone saw a HUGE scorpion in the barn/shop door. I have never seen a scorpion, nor did I see this one. Tristen said she saw it and it was bright pink. They are pretty common here. So, that freaked everyone out a little. I slept like crap, as expected. One girl was up with bad dreams about scorpions. We got up this morning and got them out of there by 8 AM. I wished I wasn't sick I may have had a better time. The girls seemed to enjoy it though.. I came home and slept for 3 hours this morning. We went to see Shrek 2 this afternoon, it was PACKED, and all the shows were selling out. It was good. Now, I can't wait to sleep in my own bed tonight. No tornadoes anywhere there, right??

I just got back from my dress rehearsal at East. I had to go there at 9:30 and then just got back which is 11:45 and then I have to go back about 2:00 and stay until like 5:30! Yesterday I also had staging for the ballet from 6 to 9 because the studio where I go really goes all out and does a huge ballet performance and this year it's based around the story of Nightingale. But then I have 2 performances tomorrow where I will have to be there all day meaning from like 11:30 to about 8:00. I think I dance 8 times. Ok well I gotta go ready to leave again! Bye.
Emily
5/22/04
Well we left for Orange City at about 8:15 and got there about 9:00. We just walked around and looked in all the little shops and stuff for about an hour. Then they made an announcement saying that 2 Sioux City West vans were illegally parked on the parade route and needed to be moved or they would be towed, so then since that was where we were supposed to meet up at the end of the day nobody knew where to go.
The rides opened up at 11:00 we went on ALL of them for a few hours, but then we went on this big spinning one and my friend threw up everywhere, so we didnt go on very many more after that.
Then before we left we watched the parade and the Dutch dancing with the wooden shoes. It was a fun day!

Trying to figure out the Who Am I, looks easy so I bet I will miss most of them :) Samantha -- got your invitation to graduation today. Wish we could be there, but Brent will be having his surgery the week before, so I will need to be here. Sorry to miss it.... Erika had a fun day on Wednesday. It was her 5th grade party. First they went bowling, then had a picnic at a park, swimming for a couple of hours, then back to school to sign autographs. They all got a cool t-shirt with everyones name on it. Thursday, Emily spent the day at Orange City for the tulip fest, but I will let her tell you all that happened. Just 4 days of school left for Emily and Erika and next Friday is the last day for preschool. Tristen and Amanda, have fun on your camp-in. I never did do camping when I was a GS leader. I will want details. Hope you are feeling better soon :)
Amanda
5/21/04
Tristen & I (and the rest of the Girl Scout troop) are embarking on our first overnight experience tonight. We are having a camp-in. The first one has to be indoors (which means this is the only camping experience I will enjoy, once the outdoorsy ones start, yuck). We will be making dinner and that kind of stuff. I'm not really looking forward to it since I am still kind of sick. I think my "cold or flu" developed into a sinus infection. We are going to go see Shrek 2 tomorrow though, so we are looking forward to that. Teghan will love it. She has moved away from Finding Nemo, and now wants to watch Shrek everyday!

OMG!! I forgot to do a page acknowledging Brent's birthday! My apologies, Brent. I somehow had it in my head that it fell on the weekend, like Amanda's last week, so I didn't even think about checking the calendar when I put the page together last night. I've really been short-changing the Nelsons lately... Anyhoo, happy birthday!

Tristen only has 7 days of school too. Her teacher is gone for the rest of the year though, she had to go to Dallas for surgery, she has cancer and has tried to get surgery before but stress tests and things didn't allow it, we are hoping this time she can get it over with. The last day of school they are going to see a movie and get out of school at 1, so that day really doesn't count. I have been sick, barely moving off the couch or bed. Feeling a little better tonight, hoping to get back to normal soon, I am missing my 3 week break from school!!!

Hey everybody!! We only have 7 days left of school!! We're already starting to check in our books and stuff! We're going to Orange City on Thursday that should really fun, as long as it doesnt rain.

I'll write more about it later!

"I Hate George Bush" Update: Latest polls show Kerry ahead of Bush! Bush's approval rating has been declining steadily just as Kerry's is going up. The numbers:
A Time/CNN poll a few days ago has Kerry at 51%, Bush at 46%; a CNN/Gallup poll last week had Kerry at 50%, Bush at 46%; A Gallup poll two weeks ago had Kerry at 49%, Bush at 47%. Good numbers! (And just to be "fair and balanced," an impartial [cough] poll done by Fox News two weeks ago had Bush at 46%, Kerry at 43%.)
And here are some more numbers: In our "Who Am I" polling, "Shrek" is clearly the summer winner, with 40% of our participants so far naming that as the movie they want to see. In the Ice Cream category, results are spread all across the board, though Vanilla is showing a slight lead at 27% with Chocolate Chip and Cookies and Cream in a two-way tie for second place. There you have it!
Gary
5/18/04
"Who Am I" Update: Grandma and Marsha have entered the mix, so we only have six stragglers at the moment. I would like to get the profiles posted in time for the weekend, so if Donna, John, Lori, Paul, Sean, and Zachary want to play, please get to the Who Am I page in the next few days. This one is going to be an interesting game!

5/17/04
Tristen I love your dance costume! I had my pictures a few days ago I think they will look nice. I'll be sure to send them in as soon as we get them! My recital is June 12, then I will be done with dance at my studio for the summer. But, Im still going to be pretty busy. I have dance squad at school all June from 7:30 to 10:30, and I have cheerleading on Mondays from 10:30 to noon. We also have out MA camp for 3 days at the end of June all day! I will also have drivers ed. in July. But it should all be really fun!
Lindsey
5/17/04
Tristen, I love your dance outfit. I had dance pictures yesterday and luckily they could fit all my dance pictures into a 1 hour slot thing but I had to do one set of pictures and then rush out and change then take another set of pictures and then rush out change and then take pictures again so luckily those are done with and won't have to worry about that for a while. I'll send them in when I get them but might not be for a while. But I am going to be busy with dance starting Wednesday I have 3 hours then Thursday 3 hours and then Friday 3 hours and Saturday is pretty much an all day dress rehearsal and then Sunday are our performances and I will be there ALL DAY since I am in both of them. So I'll be really busy coming up here and then I'll get a break. Then I also have my summer dance camp coming up as well. But school is almost out for me!!!! I can't wait!
Karen
5/17/04
Tristen, you are beautiful in your dance costume! What song did you dance to? Emily and Erika had their pictures for dance last week.
Cool and rainy here today, in fact the whole week-end was rainy. Just a few days of school left. We are done next Friday! Wednesday Erika has her 5th grade party. She gets to go bowling in the morning, then a picnic at the riverfront and swimming in the afternoon. On Thursday Emily is going to Orange City (a small Dutch town about 30 minutes from SC). They have a Tulip Fest and dancing, so her dance class is going to see them.

Today's cool site, and tomorrow's, are golden-oldies. A couple of us were talking about them a few weekends ago when the Tex-Metcalfs were here, so I'm running them again. (Sorry, Sean, the mullet-site seems to have disappeared.)
"Who Am I" is progressing nicely: So far Amanda, Anna, Brent, Gary, Emily, Erika, Karen, Lindsey, Olivia, Ryan, Samantha, Teghan, and Tristen have jumped in, which means that Donna, Grandma, John, Lori, Marsha, Paul, Sean, and Zachary are still standing on shore. C'mon, get yer feet wet!

Hello everyone! Thanks for the birthday wishes. I got a Palm Zire 72 from Ryan (with help from his parents and Sean). I got more memory for it too, and a Bluetooth thing for the PC so I can acess internet and email wirelessly on the Palm. It isn't working yet, Ryan hasn't had time to get it up and going, so we haven't seen the benefits of it yet. I don't think you can use it far from home though, that's the downfall. I got a new watch from Tristen & Teghan. I got a huge bouquet of flowers and chocolates from my mom & Shelby. We went to Olive Garden for dinner last night and it was SOOO good! We were going to go to Dallas to a big mall there and then to Rainforest Cafe for dinner, but I really didn't want to get in the car for 3 hours (and 3 hours back) after last weekend.
Gary
5/15/04
Finally! A warm day! ...OK, that was tongue-in-cheek, but the past couple of days have been cold: a high of 43 on Thursday, and down in the 30s every night. And of course, this is the week the maintenance dept. decided to shut down the heating system at work for repairs. Everybody was running space heaters!
The Who Am I game is getting a great early response: We've already heard from Anna, Brent, Gary, Emily, Erika, Karen, Lindsey, and Samantha. Judging by their answers, it should be another very interesting game. :-) If you are not one of those named, get in there and get busy!

I couldn't believe Jasmine made it last night and they booted Latoya. She wasn't even good enough to be in the top 4. I also couldn't believe just as they were asking the judges what they thought about Latoya going out and Jasmine staying we got a weather alert telling us a thunderstorm was on its way and missed most of it. Arghhhh!
I wouldn't be surprised if the votes are tampered with to make the show more interesting. Which reminds me, Sunday night E The true Hollywood Story is doing the 'true' story behind American Idol.
Gary
5/13/04
Why did Jasmine stay and LaToya go? One word: tears. Jasmine got the sympathy votes, at the expense of the best performer on the show. As Kent Brockman said while reporting the Springfield election results: "Democracy just...doesn't...work!" I blame George Bush.
Hey, thanks for the "Who Am I" question ideas, but I think I've got it all ready to go. Was really inspired! I'll put it up tomorrow so you all can see it over the weekend. (Karen, the car question would be difficult to do without pictures, and I've already got the picture component set up. Maybe next time!) Anyway, check back tomorrow for another "Who Am I?"
Amanda
5/13/04
I paid 1.82 for gas yesterday. Don't know about milk. That's one thing I don't look at the price, I know I need it so I get it. I guess gas is the same way though, however, I'm sure if we got our milk from the Middle East we would pay more attention to that price. I took my last final this morning. DONE. I don't feel a great sense of relief yet, I don't know why. We are going to Chuck E Cheese tonight for the Girl Scouts, this is their goal for selling over a 1,000. We couldn't watch AI last night, our cable (and internet) was out from noon until 10 pm!. But I see this morning stinker "Jazzy" stayed while LaToya went? This show is total crap. Another Who Am I question, choose from these reality shows... AI, Survivor, etc.
Karen

I had one idea for a question -- how about something like "if you could have any car or truck, what would you drive?"
Gary
5/12/04
I was just reading over some of our old newsletters and realized it has been a year since our last "Who Am I?" So I got bitten by the bug to do another one. I've already got it nearly ready to go, but thought I'd ask if y'all have any ideas for who-am-I-type questions. Do ya...?
Gary
5/12/04
I haven't bought milk lately, but last night I paid $2.01 for gas. First time I've ever paid more than two bucks. I still can't get used to it being more than one dollar a gallon.... I blame George Bush.
Karen
5/12/04
OK, just a quick survey -- How much are you paying for milk and gas?
I just filled up at the gas station and had to pay $1.999, then to the grocery store for a gallon of milk -- now $2.75!! I need a raise :)
Emily

Hey everybody! Sounds like everybody had a fun time with the Metcalfs, wish we could have made it down there too!!
Not much has been going on with us lately. We only have 12 more days of school left!!!
We have a mini cheer camp for elementary kids on saturday for cheerleading, Me and about 3 other girls are teaching 1st and 2nd graders. We will do like 3 cheers and 3 chants and then some jumps and stuff, it should be fun.
On the 20th we're going to Orange City for the Tulip Festival for dance at school. We'll get to be gone all day. We're going to watch them dance in the parade, then we will get to walk around the fair and go on the rides. That should be really fun too!
Lindsey

I know sometimes when I am typing a message after I put my name I hit enter thinking it will bring me down to another box since that's what some other programs do and I send it in on accident so sorry I will try to watch myself more carefully!
Don't worry, Linz, it's not that -- that's not a big deal and it can happen for anybody. (I was just worried that maybe you had written a long newsletter item and it got erased!) No, what I was describing below was happening a lot recently, with just about every newsletter item. So it must have been a glitch in the system somewhere. Seems to be better now! :-) --Gary

Thanks to the Tex-Metcalfs for making the big long drive. We all had lots of fun!
Hey, has anyone had any trouble posting stuff to this page recently? For the past several days I've been receiving some duplicated entries (same item arrives twice in two separate emails) and some blank entries (the writer's name at the top but no text). I just now got one of those blank ones from Lindsey, so Linz could you try sending it again...? If others are having trouble, please let me know what it looks like on your end and I'll try to figure it out.

We are home! We got home about 11:30 last night. Back up and ready for life today! We had a GREAT time. It was totally worth it! Thanks to everybody who dropped what they were doing to spend the day and a half with us. Tristen had a blast, she said she didn't even care if her butt was bruised from all the driving. The girls did good in the car both ways, thank goodness for portable DVD players.

Hello everyone!! Happy Mothers day and hope everyone had a good weekend. We had a good day, my mom, dad, Sam and I went to the Como Zoo. It was about 90 today. We had a nice time. Then at about 5:30 the torando sirens went off. We had a pretty strong storm until about 7. There were some tornados that did touch down about a couple counties away. It is still rainy and theres thunder and lighting. It has cooled down though. Sounds like everyone has had a pretty good and exciting weekend.

Happy Mother's Day!
Had a fun weekend. After my dance rehearsal and Livy's game we went back over to Grandma's and had a really fun time. Sat outside most of the time and then had Val's pizza. We also did the blanket swing with Tristen, Teghan, and Olivia where they sit in the blanket and you swing them and Teghan LOVED it. Then Tristen came and spent the night at our house and we watched "Cat in the Hat". Then this morning we took her over and then they left a little while after. So now I am just waiting until we go out to eat for Mother's Day. We are going to some brunch somewhere but it's catered by the Green Gateau. Ok well I better go, talk to you all later. Had a nice visit Metcalf's and hope you have a safe trip back! Can't wait to see you guys again soon!
Gary
5/8/04
Yup, they did come over later! We had a great evening, starting off with Valentinos pizza; and eventually we were all sitting out in the front yard in the cool evening (after a hot day) watching the lightning flash in the distance. Big-time fun! I'd write more, but I'm wiped out and headed for bed. :-)
Oh also, a note to Amanda, Paul, and Sean: Here is that Chernobyl website we were talking about tonight.
Lindsey
5/8/04
Hope this is ok to say now, but we had a surprise visit from the Metcalfs' this morning! Me and Olivia came over about 7:30 to go to the Farmer's Market with Donna and Grandma and to our suprise, their car was in the driveway! We couldn't believe it and right as we got to the door, Tristen jumped out and yelled "surprise!" But I had to come home because I have dance for a couple of hours today and Olivia has a soccer game but I think we might go over there later to see them. Nice Mother's Day weekend suprise!
Amanda

I was glad to see George go. Ryan needed counseling though, he loved him. I thought Jasmine would go. I agree it should be LaToya & Fantasia in the finale, and it would be hard to pick, but I may have to say LaToya. She is more versatile. Can't wait for Friends. I don't like it as much as I used to, but have to see it out. We are recording it since Tristen & I will be gone. And Donna, please tell me that is a wink about the reruns. That's one reason I am tired of the show, is there ever a time in the day or night when one channel or another isn't playing old Friends shows?
Donna

Buh-bye George! I sure thought he would have hung around longer. I expected Dianna to leave last night but she was in the top 3. Oh well, it's just arranging chairs on the Titanic now until we get down to the final 2--which should be LaToya and Fantasia. I don't know who I'd pick between them--both are so good.
And tonight it's good-bye Friends. I'll miss that show, I hope they plan to show reruns. ;-)

Erika, I didn't realize you were a taurus too! How cool! Tristen is really into the merchandise with her sign on it right now too. She got a necklace with her sign. One question, why did you buy a box? I have a few, I could give you one for free. :) Tristen has Hawk Mania today, Ryan & I are going again, hope to get some good pictures. She is excited. Then tonight we have a Mom & Me dinner for Girl Scouts. That should be fun too. Hopefully pictures to come.

With the money I got I bought a movie, a box, a pillow that said taurus, and a bratz doll.

With "Master and Commander" out on DVD now, I know some of you will be seeing it (or have already), so today's cool site is a golden-oldie: One day back in February of 2001 our cool site pointed to the HMS Victory page, which offers lots of information (including a virtual tour) on the last surviving Ship of the Line -- very similar to (though quite a bit bigger than) the "HMS Surprise" as seen in the movie. The "Victory" is one of the most famous ships in history: It was on the deck of this ship that Lord Nelson was killed, during the Battle of Trafalgar. You will remember Nelson from the movie in the "pass the salt" story, and also from the book that Aubrey (Russell Crowe) gives to the young midshipman in sickbay. Don't miss the movie, and don't miss today's cool site!

Hay, thanks for all the B-day wishes. For my birthday I collected about $50, but I went shopping, and now I only have a few cents left.

Hey everybody! Well all of Erika's friends have finally left!! She got a lot of presents, and some money so we went shopping this afternoon.
I have another cheerleading practice tomorrow, it has been really fun and we've been learning a lot of new stuff.
I also have a mayors youth comission meeting tomorrow night, we're going to watch some of the city council meeting, then my committee is going to be working on some questions that we are going to ask the canidates for school board, for a debate they are doing.
I had my first dance squad practice yesterday. It was really fun we learned the state hoopla routine, and a jazz. We will keep practicing through the summer then they will decide what squads we go on to.

Hey everyone!
Just an update on my dance stuff. My Mom has been working on gloves for our ballet costumes. Our dance academy does a big production for both ballet and then jazz, lyrical, tap, etc. Well our Ballet this year is Nightingale and in that my group is the Cardinals and so we have an outfit and with it we have gloves (which my Mom has been working on for the whole weekend) and then feathered masks. There are also two recitals one in the afternoon and one at night but there is two because there are two studios, a north and south one, but for the ballet I am in both and for my competition dance we are in both of them and then I have another advanced Jazz class and that one is in the night performance. But then all of the competition teams do a big dance together at the end of each recital to the song "Fame." So I will have to be there all day and go on about 7 times meaning change 7 times! But I like it and I'm really excited for this year's performance! Also this summer for competition we have to do a "summer intensive camp" as they call it and we go to the studio for two weeks Monday-Thursday and do intensive ballet for an hour and a half and then pointe for 45 minutes. And that's like on Mondays and Wednesdays and then Tuesdays and Thursdays we have intensive Jazz which is an hour and a half and then Lyrical which is an hour and then on all of the days we will either have a leaps/jumps/turns class, stretching class, or hip-hop class for like an hour. That's like June 7th-17th. But that's so I will be on the competition team next year. Well all the news I really know right now. Bye!

Hey everybody! Well Erika had her slumber party last night. They were soo loud! But nobody had to leave in the middle of the night, usually at least one has to leave early. They're waking up and eating french toast right now, only 2 and a half hours left until they leave!!

Happy May Day! I will try to get the pictures ready ASAP! Hope you guys's garage sale went well. I saw the pictures of Teghan's GOT MILK. That is hilarious! Anyways me, Livy, Grandma, Donna, and Gary went to the Farmer's Market this morning and that was really fun and then we went back and me, Livy, Donna, and Grandma worked in the yard because Grandma got a HUGE pile of mulch delivered that practically took up her whole driveway and we went and mulched her WHOLE front yard and most of the back and it looks like she has a totally different yard now. Pictures to come! I think we worked a total of 4 hours out there (with many breaks in between). So had a pretty full day. Then Grandma made a really good dinner and I know I won't spell this right but Chicken Catchatori Stir Fry which was excellent. Then fresh made cookies for dessert and we started watching Big Fish and it was good so far but then my Dad came and we watched Livy's movie for school. Dad rented some movies for tonight so we were going to watch those tonight. Master and Commander and The Cat In The Hat. Alright well I'll try to get pictures soon.

Well, we made about $240 today. It was COLD! Never got above 50 and no sun. It wasn't the greatest garage sale-ing weather. I'm sure it would have gone better if it were warm. BUT, we got rid of everything in one way or another. What we didn't sell we loaded up and took to a baby consignment shop. Bigger things like changing table, etc. The clothes we packaged up and will take to the Airman's Attic, a donation center on base that is only for young airman. Some we donated to the Boy Scout Troop, cooking stuff for when they go camping. Anyhow, it's gone, outta here, that's what matters to us! Tristen did her lemonade stand with Christen, though they should have been selling hot chocolate. They charged a quarter and made $6, so they each took $3. I had to take a nap afterwards because I got one of the most migraines I have ever had. My allergies have been bad lately, and being outside all day triggered the migraine. Anyhow, that was our day!

Linz we have to see pictures!!! When I was your age I went to Fort Robinson also. That place is cool. I remember the parade field that they have there add all the buildings that surround it. Speaking of Parade Fields, I was supposed to be in a parade last week that got rained out. During practice, one of the students "Fell Out" which means they passed out. This individual broke their jaw and lost 4 teeth from it. I guess its hazards of being in a parade. I'm scheduled to be in another parade on the 14 of May. Hopefully this one won't be rained out. Got to get ready for the garage sale. Talk to everyone soon!!!
